How long have you been playing ball hockey and how did you get started?

I have been playing ball hockey for 6 years. I got started playing for the local ball hockey association in Maple Ridge.

What are your greatest skills and how often do you practice to hone those skills?

I believe that my greatest skill in ball hockey is my ability to run. My endurance is pretty good and I feel that I can keep my speed throughout the whole game without becoming fatigued.

You were named to Canada’s Women’s National Team for the World Championships in St. John’s, NL that took place in early June. When did you find out you were selected and what was you reaction?

When I was selected for Team Canada I didn’t really know how to react. Obviously I was very excited that they chose me and I felt very privileged, but at the same time I was also very intimidated.

What did it mean to you to be selected to represent BC and Canada at the World Championships?

It was an honor and I felt very privileged to be selected to play for my country.

Now that you are a World Champion. Please describe the experience and what is your fondest memory of the tournament?

Playing for team Canada, I gained a great experience that I will never forget. The greatest memories I will take back with me are getting to know a group of amazing women and becoming a family in the short time we had together.

What Women’s ball hockey players in BC do you look up to and why?

I look up to all of the players on my team from BC. Each and every one of them have their own unique way of playing the game which makes me a better player. I always look forward to coming to the rink and getting to play with a great group of women.
