In 2010, the Vancouver Women’s Ball Hockey League presented the “Super Series”, a pre-season tournament to introduce new players to our sport while playing alongside experienced players. The event sold out faster than we expected so it is back again this year, expanded and waiting for you to sign up!

HOW TO SIGN UP: It’s easy! Just open up the link provided above, fill out the registration and info form and mail it, along with your cheque to the provided address. But you need to do it quickly, it sold out faster than expected last year and we expect a brisk response this year as well! Spots are limited and are on a first come, first serve basis.

WHEN & WHERE: The Super Series round-robin games will run from Tuesday, 19 April thru to Tuesday, 10 May (no games on Friday, 22 April & Tuesday, 3 May). Games times are 7:15pm or 8:45pm with all round-robin games played at Trout Lake. The Super Series playoff games will be played on Sunday, 15 May from 3:30 to 9:30pm in Richmond. The day will conclude with the awarding of prizes and a Series ending BBQ.

COST: Early bird registration is $60 per player if you register AND pay by 20 March 2011. Cost after 20 March is $70 per player. A Super Series jersey will be included in this cost. An e-mail will be sent to you to confirm your registration.

HOW IT WORKS: Once all the spots are filled (we are hoping to have enough for up to 6 teams this year), all the registered players will be part of a player draft to be placed on teams. The VWBHL Executive will select Captains from players who have previously played and those Captains will draft their teams for the Super Series. A team colour and schedule will be provided to the teams at that time.

If you have any questions that are not answered here, please feel free to contact us and we will try to get your question answered ASAP!

See you at the rink!
